Who Am I?

Hi - I'm Brett, the founder of this site and program.

I struggled to learn Thai for many months back in 2003, but I finally discovered that mastering the script was the answer to all my Thai problems.

In 2006, I taught my first student and it worked so well that I wrote a book which has since evolved into a series of online courses with over 6000 students.

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely.  You will never get good at Thai language if you don’t learn the sound system.  The fastest way to learn the sound system is by learning the script.  It takes most people between 10 and 20 hours to learn it all.  

If you aren’t willing to invest 10 hours or so to save yourself thousands of hours of frustration, the Inner Circle program may not be for you.    

How fast do you want to get good?  You need to put in at least 20 minutes a day to make any real progress, but more is better.  

This is impossible for us to answer.  Learning a language is a long term commitment.  If you work hard at this program, it’s completely possible to reach a basic conversational level within 3 months, but we can’t guarantee any time frame as results can and will vary.

Learn the Thai script.  It’s the most important thing you will ever do with the Thai language.  Transliteration makes things seem easier at first, but it will handicap you as you will never learn the correct sounds without the Thai script.  

No course can anticipate every single situation you will encounter in the language.  This program can teach you all the core skills you need so that you can learn on your own as well as start to dive into native content.  Over 6000 students have used our program and it is extremely effective.
