Nana the Movie
นานะเป็นการ์ตูน เอ้ย!ไม่ใช่การ์ตูน เป็นหนัง น่าจะเป็นหนังญี่ปุ่น(อ้าวเหรอ) เออ!เพราะว่าเพลงที่ขึ้นเป็นเพลงญี่ปุ่น ชื่อ? แน้!รู้เพลงญี่ปุ่นด้วย 55++ เสร็จแล้ว เป็นเรื่องราวของเด็กผู้หญิง 2 คน ที่มีชื่อเหมือนกัน คนหนึ่ง (อ่า…ก็เคยดูเหมือนกันนะ) เออ!คนหนึ่งนะจะมีความฝันจะเป็นนักดนตรี (รู้ล่ะ) ที่มีชื่อเสียง(อือฮือ!) แต่อีกคนมีความฝันอยากจะเป็นคนที่ถูกรัก โดยที่แบบ คือ….เพ้อเจ้อหน่อยๆนะเรื่องของความรัก สองคนนี้พอดีได้ไปโตเกียว ไปเที่ยวรถ รถไฟคันเดียวกัน ขบวนเดียวกัน ก็ไปเจอกันบนรถไฟ แล้วก็บังเอิญอีกครั้งหนึ่ง ไปแชร์ห้องแล้วก็ได้อยู่ห้องเดียวกัน ก็เลยได้ใช้ชีวิตอยู่ด้วยกัน นานะคนแรกก็คือนานะที่มีความฝันเป็นนักดนตรีเนี่ยเค้าจะเป็นคนที่อาร์ทๆนะแต่งตัวตีสท์นะ แล้วก็ชอบใส่ชุดสีดำอะไรอย่างเงี่ย แล้วก็เป็นแนวเซอร์ๆหน่อย ไม่ค่อยอะไรกับใคร มีโรคส่วนตัวสูง แต่อีกคนหนึ่งเป็นแนวแบบอ่า….ช่างเพ้อฝันนะค่ะ คิคุอะโนเน๊ะ น่ารัก ต้องอยู่กับคนรัก คนรักต้อง.. แล้วสุดท้ายคนรักเค้าก็นอกใจเพราะว่าไปอยู่กับผู้หญิงอีกคนหนึ่งที่มีความ เค้าเรียกว่า ความใกล้ชิด เลยทำให้คนนั้นเปลี่ยน(ไป) เค้าก็เลยเสียใจ แล้วก็อยู่ด้วยกัน แล้ววันหนึ่งก็แฟน(เก่า)ของคน คนนั้นนะที่เป็นนักดนตรีนะค่ะ เค้าก็เป็น ตอนนี้คือ เค้าเรียกว่าอะไร? เป็นแบนด์แล้วนะ เป็นวงดนตรีที่มีชื่อเสียง เค้าก็ไปดูกัน แล้วก็สุดท้ายแล้ว นานะคนที่เป็นนักดนตรีเนี่ย ก็สมหวังก็คือผู้ชายคนนี้ก็กลับมารักแล้วก็สมหวังกัน กับอีกคนที่เพ้อฝัน เค้าบอกว่าไม่เป็นไร เค้าแค่เห็นเพื่อนเค้ามีความสุขก็ดีใจแล้ว เค้าก็ยังมีความใฝ่ฝันที่จะตามหาคนคนนั้นที่จะรักเค้าคนเดียวต่อไป ก็จบ (จบ)

That was a pretty tough one. I’d really appreciate someone more knowledgeable checking-out these phrases that jumped out at me:
เพ้อเจ้อหน่อยๆนะเรื่องของความรัก: A bit clueless when it comes to love.
จะเป็นคนที่อาร์ทๆนะแต่งตัวตีสท์นะ: This looks like the word ‘artist’ has been split up and used in two clauses!! “She’s an arty person, looks like a bit of an artist.” If anyone could confirm my understanding, that’d be great (it’s not in the dictionary, of course)
แนวเซอร์: no idea, can’t find this
แนวแบบ: also can’t really figure this out
ช่างเพ้อฝัน: I can guess this means something like a day-dreamer, or always lost in dreams
บังเอิญ: by chance, accidentally, coincidentally

Sorry for the late reply. I just got back from traveling last night.
เพ้อเจ้อ and เพ้อฝัน are pretty close. I focus on the word เพ้อ which reminds me of เพี้ยน (no clue if they are related though) which has a similar meaning. Whereas เพี้ยน is mad as in “I am going mad,” เพ้อ is more like being “a bit crazy/over the top about something”
For words describing styles it never hurts to check google images. Search for เด็กแนว and เด็กเซอร์ as examples.
แนวเซอร์ – emo/hipster (and probably comes from the word ‘hipster’)
As for “แนวแบบ” – they are separate in this talk. Remember it is spoken, don’t focus solely on the transcript to connect things together, you need to watch and/or listen a bunch of times (without reading) as well.
แต่อีกคนหนึ่งเป็นแนว but the other one is like (has a style like)…
แบบอ่า like, uhhh…..

Thanks for your comments (over a month ago now). It took me a while because they threw me and I wanted to spend some time thinking about it. Anyway, you’ve given me some new senses of words to think about. I wouldn’t have put เพี้ยน together with the sense of “I am going mad”, rather I would’ve had it “I’m feeling a bit strange today”. Running a web corpus search it comes up in talking about not working technology a lot. สีเพี้ยน (the colour is off) เสียงเพ้ยน (out of tune / the sound is strange).
Anyway, you’ve made more sense of แนว for me, which I really couldn’t find in the dictionaries, thanks.
