In a country so laid back – its a wonder that you see the word ‘urgent’ written so often that it cancels itself out.
I thought I’d do a quick post on signs that you can find in front of any 7-11 and plenty of other businesses as well.
Words/phrases you might find following the heading – รับ สมัคร ด่วน accepting+applications+urgently
- พนักงาน staff
- ตำแหน่ง position
- ติดต่อ contact (lit. stick+connect)
- สาขา branch
- มีความรับผิดชอบสูง have a high level of responsibility
- จำนวนหลายอัตรา various positions (lit. amount+various+postion) or จำนวน 10 อัตรา
- รอบเช้า ตั้งแต่ 07.00 – 16.00 น.* รอบเช้า morning shfit
รอบบ่าย ตั้งแต่ 13.30 – 23.00 น.*
รอบค่ำ ตั้งแต่ 22.00 – 08.00 น.* - เงินเดือนเริ่มต้น starting salary (lit. money+month+starting from)
Start with that. You should find a sign on most 7-11s. Everytime you pop into one, try and read a line or 2 on the window/door outside. You’ll start getting used to it and then start seeing it around everywhere. “For Rent – Urgently!” “For Sale – Urgently!”, etc. You’ll wonder how you never noticed it before.
